Older Girl Escape is held Martin Luther King weekend each year at Camp Lakamaga. The theme changes annually.
This program event is geared towards troops will girls in grades 6-12. It is a weekend packed with fun activities geared specifically to older girls. They goal is for them to have a place to enjoy activities, rather than run them, as they do at many other events
Weekend themes have included chocolate, STEM, Girl Scouts traditions, reduce/reuse/recycle, mysteries, crafts, and exploring the world through food.
The weekend kicks off with a fun activity Friday night. Saturday features four programs, a long lunch break with time for outside play, a structured evening activity and night hike. We finish with activities on Sunday.
