Second Winds promotes outdoor fun within Girl Scouts.
They provide assistance and expertise in outdoor skills and programs, including planning, implementing and volunteering at outdoor events like encampments and field days.
They run two large older girl encampments (Piper Valley and Prairie Flower) every year and award scholarships to girls who have been accepted to the Girl Scout Destinations travel program.
They meet the second Thursday in September and April and first Friday in December.
