Caddie Training

The Caddie Program was started in the 1970s for girls in 8th grade or older that could help at day camps. It is not short for Cadettes, but like a caddy on a golf course, to help the leader.

The underlying purpose is for older girls to develop valuable leadership skills and confidence through hands-on experience. The training prepares Caddies to lead younger girls at camps and service unit events and teach them outdoor skills, songs, games and more.

There are two levels, Caddies (7th grade and older) and Senior Caddies (9th grade and older and have been a Caddie and taken previous Caddie Training).

Training takes place in April each year, led by trained volunteer adults. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Emily White at white.emily@comcast.net.
